My Christmas Wish List 2012

A Keurig Elite 40 (which I happily already bought myself on Cyber Monday for an amazing $77.00!) 

A white iPad2 with WiFi (which I also already happily bought myself on Black Friday for a SMOKIN $325.00!)

New Clarisonic replacement brush heads. Specifically the deep pore cleansing brush.

And last but not least a day at the Spa! My amazing staff gave me a nice spa finder gift card, so the day after Christmas you know where to find me!! I've already booked myself a 90 min. massage and body scrub!

Decisions, Decisions

I'm still here....and still shopping! Christmas just gives me a really good excuse : ) Kay's big Christmas gift from Santa this year is the new Nintendo DSi XL! I know she's going to be so excited to have a upgrade from her "babyish" Leapster 2 handheld gaming system. I am glad I didn't get the dsi for her last year like I was planning on because I think now she will appreciate and take care of it more now that she's a little older. And up until recently she's been content with her Leapster 2. But now I have tough decisions to make, like which skin I should buy her! So help...if you were 6 and sassy like Kay, which one would you choose?

Recent Purchase: The PBK Anywhere Chair!

Kay has a leopard print chair in her room that she has had since she was 2. She loves it and really I don't think she owns anything else that has gotten more use. Every night at bath time- Miss M loves to play in her sisters room (and sometimes while she's at school, but pssssh don't tell her that!) and one of her favorite things in her sisters room is that chair! She just loves to climb in and out of it, and once she's in- she thinks its sooo funny and she giggles and laughs! So when it came time to think about what to get her for Christmas I thought the Pottery Barn Kids Anywhere Chair would be the perfect! She's still too young to really get into toys, so this makes a great gift for her. I mean, we are getting her toys too but this is her BIG gift this year! Plus that little one has a birthday coming up too, so we aren't going to go too crazy here.

So there it is. Cute right?! I ordered the light pink mini dot cover monogrammed in lime green (with her real name of course) : ) I know this is something she is going to have and use for years to come!

Recent Purchase: Maclaren Quest Sport Stroller

I have a slight problem with strollers, slight meaning I always have to know what is out, what strollers do what, whats new, whats coming out, who's got new color coming out even if I;m not on the market for one....YEARS before I got pregnant with little M I would research strollers and dream of which one I would be pushing her in someday. It is my thing. Kinda like with your wedding, you know how you had one thing that was super important to you? The one little detail that was make or break for you? For me it was the flowers. In baby world its the stroller! So when it was time to start looking for something a little more light weight and smaller, I got excited! I don't rush into these kind of purchases, I do my research, see what my options are, drive to multiple store if need be to test drive, and I do have a budget in mind.

I am still planning on using my Peg Perego Pliko Switch (which I love love, but lets face it, that thing is big, heavy and a beast when folded) but I needed something for quick trips like picking Kay up from school, and for the nanny to use on the days she's here. And so it began......

I have always seen Maclaren's out and about, so I knew they were one to look at. I had also heard a lot about the Chicco Liteway,  so off to the stores I went with little M in tow to test them out. First, Maclaren makes about 4 different lightweight strollers, each with a little more luxuries and features than the next with each one getting more and more expensive. I was very disappointed in the Chicco Liteway- I really don't see what the hype is about. It maneuvered so poorly, and I think its because of those 2 freaky little wheels in the front. I had such better expectations from it and was really unimpressed. It had some pluses, but for a 20.00 difference in price, the Maclaren Triumph was so much better!! Both had the adjustable back which was a must for me but the Triumph was sturdier but lighter, had a attached carrying strap, and maneuvered GREAT for an umbrella, best one I tried so far. So after checking out a few others, I decided on the Triumph. But of course, nothing is ever easy for me and the 2010 models weren't out yet, so I had to wait a few weeks. No biggie.

So I went to the store yesterday to purchase and once again got lured into the amazing stroller section at Buy Buy Baby and started to really look at the difference between the Triumph and the Quest Sport. Yes,the Quest was way more than I wanted to spend, but you could really see a difference in features. One, it has MUCH more padding in the seat, it also has a extended footrest for the littler ones. It also has a little pouch in the back for Mom (none of the other had that!). The seat on the Quest made the Triumph feel like a Chinese torcher board. And right then I thought to myself, If I were Miss M and had to ride in this stroller for the next 3 years what would I be more comfortable in? The board or the luxury padding? SOLD!

I had a 20% off coupon, so that helped me justify the price difference :) I ended up getting the Champagne and Back as pictured and I cant wait to use it! I have never heard anyone complain about the Maclaren's so I feel confident in my choice. Just don't tell my husband :)

They are all very similar, almost the same. I hesistat to do the one with the gold glitz because my wedding ring and most other jewlrey is white gold, but I love the look of it. So which one do you like best?

Today we went to Babies R Us and walked out with the following items:

Chicco Polly Highchair in Luna (as pictured). This was the highchair I registered for. It has been the most popular high chair on the market since it came out, and for good reason! This thing is amazing! It folds SO compact, and is so easy to use. Completely user friendly. Plus it comes with 2 removable clear trays that are dishwasher safe. I chose this color because it matches the decor in my house, so it will blend right in : ) Best of all I used my 20% off coupon and got 30 dollars off!  

Playskool Busy Ball Popper in Pink. She is a little young for this right now, but I bought it because it was on sale for 18.00 at BabiesRus, then I used another 20% off coupon! This toy is really genius I tell you, because every baby (and even toddler!) I have ever known that has come into contact with this toy is totally mesmerized and entertained by it. It is worth every penny. If you have a baby, GET ONE!

Vtech Bright Lights Telephone. Kay had one of these and loved it, she played with it for ages. I wanted to get M a new toy that lit up, so this was perfect! Plus it has English and Spanish!

and I picked up some more spoons, take along bowls, and a few different sippy cups to try when she's ready! 

New Purchases

This weekend Miss M hit the jackpot and got a few new fun things. First, I got her a Evenflo Triple Fun Jungle Excersaucer; which is really cool because later it breaks down into a activity table. We haven't put it together yet, but I am looking forward to see how M likes it as she grows and how much fun she is going to have in this thing. I wanna crawl in there, it looks quite entertaining!

I got her a new teether, a Nuby Softee "Hand". I thought she would really like this because it has the different fingers to chew on. Plus each finger has a different texture. It's soft and comes with a nifty carrying case! Hey, it's the little things that excite me ;)

And even though she isn't quite eating solids yet, I went ahead and bought these, Baby Cubes Storage Containers. I plan on making and pureeing most of Miss M's baby food, and love that these were individual containers with attached lids. There are so many options for baby food storage, but I liked the idea of these best. Because if we are on the go (which is often with an older child and a business to run), I can just grab one and go! I bought a set of the 1 oz. and a set of the 2 oz. so we'll how they work out once we actually start using them :) But I'm excited!

And because I couldnt forget about myself, and because I am a little obsessed with staying young, I picked up some Lancome GENIFQUE. I have never used this product before, but I use their moisterizer and love it. This is a serum you put on under your daily moisterizer. And thats what I need, something simple that I can work into my daily routine already. I have learned my lesson before by spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of products, for them only to sit there and never get used. So I hope it does what it says and "activates" my youthfulness. And its really fun to say... just sayin.

Somebody Stop Me!

I love to dress my girls in more unique clothing, ya know..something different than what every other kid is wearing but usually this means paying boutique or department store prices! And well now that I have 2 little princesses to outfit and a mommy with expensive taste this equals disaster for my wallet...and my husband who simply doesn't understand why a 5 year old must have 5 different pairs of sparkly shoes or why a 3 month old must have monogrammed diaper covers and hair bows to match nearly every outfit.

So I was like a kid in a candy store yesterday when I discovered Naartjie (pronounced nar chee) while out shopping at local outlet mall. (I just looked at their site online it really doesn't give the cloths justice...its much cuter in person!) OMG everything has ruffles, and layers, and it was different! I like them mainly for Miss M, not so much for bigger girl cloths...but I did manage to score Kay a few outfits too. So I bought this

I mean how many pair of ruffly capri's can a 3 month old have for gods sake?! Apparently not enough according to me : )
