I had a OB appointment yesterday and I mentioned to the nurse that I was unsure where the baby was laying now. I could tell this last weekend that she had moved at some point (she was head down at 28 weeks) because I was seeing lumps and bumps in different places, and also she is kicking in new places. I knew she had moved, so after a quick external exam of my tummy she pretty much knew that the baby was not head down anymore. So she wanted to do a quick u/s to see exactly where baby was. Sure enough little baby M is in what they call a "complete breech" presentation. Basically, as the picture shows she is sitting indian style with her butt and feet at my cervix, and her head up in between my rib cage. Little booger! So they instructed me to lay on my left side when resting or sleeping to encourage her to flip back down. As long as she turns back by 36 weeks we are good. If not they will schedule the dreaded word C word, and I really really don't want that. I am not too worried about it at this point, as I know she has time to get back down...so we'll see what she decides to do! If anyone had a baby that was breech around 32 weeks, when (if ever) did your baby flip? Did you do anything special to try and assist them in getting head down?
Other than that she looked great and boy has she grown so much! I gained 2 more pounds (I think) for a total weight gain of 23 pounds. I was also able to finally get my H1N1 shot that I have been whole heartily searching for on a daily basis. I swear trying to get this vaccine in my city has been impossible!! My OB's office still has not gotten any in, but knew of another OB/GYN near by that has an ABUNDANT supply. They were taking walk-in's so right after my appointment, I marched my happy pregnant self right on over there like they were giving away free cars or something! Made my whole day!
Oh and P.S. my ticker is now down to 59 days!! Less than 60 days people! WOWZA!

hey lisa, in response to your comment on my blog...I usually flat iron/ blow dry my hair straight. every once in a while I will go a full week just putting product in my hair and running out the door..my hair sometimes gets nice curls that way, and other days its just wavy. :)
p.s. hopefully your baby flops back to being head down.
My doctor told me that by being on my hands and knees, it gave the baby the best oppertunity to turn as that was when there was the most room for him? I dont know, just a suggestion, but good luck :-)
I had a large baby breech at 35 weeks. A friend of mine is a chiropractor and he did an adjustment on my lower back. She flipped that night and I delivered naturally a few weeks later. Something about the pelvis being just barely out of alignement keeps the baby from being head down. VOILA! Try it, can't hurt...and it feels MUCH MUCH better than version technique OR C-section! Best of luck.
I feel like my pelvis is out of alignment, so maybe if she doesnt flip by 35 weeks I will try that! Thanks!
